Waxing Tips

In order to insure the most pleasant experience during your visit, please be sure to take a look at our tips below prior to arriving for your appointment

 

  1. For body waxing treatments hair needs to be at least ¼ inch long. Please allow about two weeks of hair growth before your visit.

  2. Please avoid sun exposure and tanning for 24 hours before and after waxing service. 

  3. Gently exfoliate your skin before your wax appointment.

  4. It is very important to exfoliate after waxing as well. We recommend using an exfoliating glove or loofah. If necessary, an ingrown hair serum can be helpful.

  5. A pain reliever/anti-inflammatory can be taken 30 minutes prior to a waxing appointment to minimize discomfort.

  6. Waxing on or near your menstrual cycle can be more painful so please schedule your visit accordingly.  We can still perform the waxing service just be aware that you may be more sensitive.

  7. Please let us know if you have been on any topical medications that could affect your waxing service.  These include but are not limited to Accutane, Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids(glycolic, lactic, salacilic...), Benzoyl Peroxide, Retin-A/ or any other skin thinning medication.

  8. Avoid Heat and working out 24 hours after personal waxing services.   This produces sweat which carries bacteria into the pores and can irritate skin. Chaffing can also occur which can be extremely irritating.  Avoid sauna, steam and hot tub for one day following a wax.
