Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox • Dysport • Xeomin

LUMAesthetics is proud to be an approved provider for Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin in the Rochester, NY area.

These three namebrand neuromodulators all work the same: using botulinum toxin as the main ingredient, they prevent muscle contractions in the face (as well as the neck) which helps diminish the appearance and development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Often referred to as an all-encompassing “Botox” (like how people call all tissues ‘Kleenex’, even if they’re not the Kleenex brand!), our injectors will exam your face while they hear your concerns, then dose the Botox (or Dysport or Xeomin) appropriately.

Botox vs. Dysport vs. Xeomin: Which one should I get?
Our providers will discuss with you, but there’s very little difference between the three!

Botox is used to treat the following:

Forehead • 11 lines (between the brows) • Crows Feet
Chin • Neck • Nose • “Lip Flips” for Gummy Smiles
TMJ Pain • Migraines • Excessive Sweating

To achieve the best results possible from your Botox appointment at LUMAesthetics, we recommend following these guidelines:

DO:
• Engage your facial muscles and make expressions afterwards - it sounds counterproductive, we know, but trust us!
• If necessary, take Tylenol for any discomfort or headaches and apply ice.

DONT:
• Overheat yourself to the point of sweating; avoid activities like saunas, hot tubs, and intense workouts for 24 hours.
• Rub the treated area.
• Apply makeup for at least 4 hours after treatment.
• Consume alcohol 24 hours before or after (as it may increase the risk of bruising).
