Fillers and Sculptra
Immediate effects with long lasting results
At LUMAesthetics, experience the magic of immediate results that last.
The most requested and most performed non-invasive cosmetic procedure (besides Botox!), quality fillers use hyaluronic acid as their main ingredient. Since HA is already made and found in the body, fillers help to seamlessly add volume to areas that naturally lose fullness as we age. Fillers can also add structure to areas of the face so there is balance to your overall appearance.
We use different fillers to address different areas of concern: some are thin to add gentle hydration and plumpness (for lips or under eyes), while some are thick to mimic bone structure (for cheeks, chins, or jaw lines).
After your treatment, you may notice some tenderness and minor bumps and/or bruises at the injection site, but don't worry - they'll fade away naturally over time.
Filler can be used to treat the following:
Lips • Cheeks • Under Eyes • Chin & Jawlines
Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines) • Deep Forehead or 11 lines •
Marionette Lines • Nose • Earlobes • Aging Hands
Products and Pricing:
We carry Juvederm, Restylane and Revanesse products ranging from $700-$750 per syringe, depending on what area is being treated. We do offer half syringes for $450 to the right candidates.
Our injectors will choose a brand and product based on your concerns, goals, and lifestyle.
And YES - We offer Filler Dissolving as well!
To achieve the best results possible from your Filler appointment at LUMAesthetics, we recommend following these guidelines:
DO:
• Schedule a free consultation with us if you’re unsure or have questions!
• Take before and after pictures. We take them in office, but this will help you truly see the changes yourself. Plus, because you will likely be a bit red and extra swollen immediately after injection, taking additional pictures a few days later once things settle will help you see more accurate results.
• Have an open mind and honest discussion with us about your concerns and goals.
• If necessary, take Tylenol for any discomfort and apply ice.
• Contact us after your appointment if you have questions.
• Schedule dental procedures either two weeks before or two weeks after filler treatments (specifically for lips, chin/jaw, or anywhere around the mouth)
DONT:
• Overheat yourself to the point of sweating; avoid activities like saunas, hot tubs, and intense workouts for 24 hours.
• Rub the treated area (*unless recommended by your provider)
• Apply makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment.
• Consume alcohol 24 hours before or after (as it may increase the risk of bruising).
• Stress if you bruise. It is normal (it’s likely from the needle pokes, not the filler itself!), typically minimal, and should fade quickly.
Filler Before & Afters
Sculptra
Meet filler’s sister; she goes above and beyond.
More molecularly complex than dermal filler, Sculptra is a biostimulator that works with your body to stimulate collagen production to restore your body’s natural structure and volume.
As we age, our body slows down on collagen production. Studies show that by our 40s we have lost 45% of our collagen. This is why we lose fullness and structure in our face, neck, décolletage, hands… and start to look like we’re aging. With Sculptra being placed strategically in areas of concern, the collagen in those areas starts to perk back up, and plump, youthful skin returns.
Sculptra works over time – it does not offer the same immediate results as traditional filler. Most patients start to see visible results around 1-3 months post treatment. That said, Sculptra workers harder for longer than dermal fillers, and offers the most natural effects by making your body do what it’s supposed to.
Sculptra can be used to treat the following:
Cheeks • Temples • Chin & Jawlines
Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines) • Deep Forehead or 11 lines •
Marionette Lines • Aging Hands • Neck & Chest • Buttocks & Hips
Appointments and Pricing:
Sculptra is priced at $750 per vial.
We find most clients have the best results with 3+ vials, as they are typically addressing more/larger areas at once versus traditional fillers appointments.
Unsure if you should get filler or Sculptra? This can depend on your areas of concern and your goals – immediate and long-term. We recommend scheduling a free consultation with us so we can discuss further. We’d love to chat!
Sculptra Before & Afters
Filler and Sculptra FAQs
-
Your provider will go over your medical history, goals, expected cost, and provide education.
Based on your concerns and goals, your injector will determine the best product for you. We then start injecting, paying close attention to your facial structure to provide balance and gentle adjustments.
Our goal is to focus on natural looking results. Your skin will never look “plastic”… you’ll just look refreshed and relaxed.
We always want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decisions – don’t forget, we offer free consultations (and we are often able to move forward during the consultation if you’re ready)!
-
This can depend on the area you’re treating as well as your general pain tolerance.
For example, lip filler can be amazing but may not always a comfortable experience because lips contain so many nerves, however jaw filler on the same person might not be as uncomfortable.
We offer distraction tools and ice packs whenever needed or requested. Our trained nurse injectors have years of experience and truly want to make the process as comfortable as possible! We find most of our clients will sit through a few minutes of potential discomfort for the incredible results.
-
Due to the nature of aesthetic injectables, where a needle is coming into contact with the skin and surrounding blood vessels, bruising can happen to anyone at any time.
Even with highly qualified injectors and the smallest of needles, bruising can still occur. The needles used for filler are slightly larger than the needles used for Botox appointments, therefore bruising may be more likely to occur with filler treatments. Additionally, due to the fact that filler can be used in the lips (which have more blood vessels than say, your forehead), there is an added chance of bruising.
Any bruising that may occur should be minimal and should fade in a few days.
If you feel as though your bruising is extreme, please always contact us.

Fillers can last 1-2+ years depending on the individual, the area being treated, and the type of filler used.
Sculptra is a little different, since it is technically a biostimulator. It’s not adding anything that can “dissolve” over time, but instead it is encouraging your body to make its own collagen. That said, the results from Sculptra will still fade over time and as we age. We find our clients using Sculptra may return for long-term success after 1-2 years.

Standard fillers are injected for immediate results, and can be built and layered. They use hyaluronic acid and can provide the appearance of natural hydration and plumpness (like for the lips or under eyes) as well as more solid structure (like for chins and cheeks). Fillers typically fade over time and may need dissolving.
Sculptra is used for long term anti-aging and balancing, and is best for those who want the most natural looking results for the long-haul.
We often use both Sculptra and fillers together! We’d love to discuss your options with you further at your next appointment or a free consultation.

YES - filler can migrate over time (even if it was injected by the most professional provider ever) and it’s completely normal and common.
Filler dissolving/reversal appointments start at $250.
